How does technology influence learning outcomes?
As technology becomes ever more embedded in our classrooms, are students genuinely benefiting from its integration or are we facing unintended setbacks? Many educators, parents, and policymakers wonder whether the frequent use of technology improves learning outcomes. Does digital engagement impact students' focus, confidence and problem-solving skills or are we creating new gaps in skills and understanding? How do students' and teachers' attitudes towards technology influence the relationship? In this webinar, we discussed the key findings of the Learning in the Digital World Pilot Study conducted in Germany by the OECD in collaboration with the Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education and supported by the Vodafone Foundation. The study, which involved 730 students across 46 lower-secondary schools, measures students' computational thinking skills, self-regulated learning in digital environments, and students' attitudes towards digital learning tools.

Launch of Quality Matters: Strengthening the Quality Assurance of Adult Education and Training
This report examines the evolving landscape of adult education and training (AET). It maps existing quality assurance systems across OECD countries and introduces a framework for comparison. The report also explores how accessible information and guidance can empower learners, the critical role of data infrastructure in tracking outcomes, and the unique challenges posed by the rise of digital AET. Drawing on extensive research and case studies, the report offers strategic recommendations to strengthen AET systems, ensuring they remain responsive, and aligned with the needs of both the job market and society.
